I have known Abe Gruenwald for about 10 years since my wife and I started looking for Long Term Care Insurance. A close friend of mine told me that Abe was the best person to speak to in order to learn about this product and get the best possible advice. One of the things that I learned from him was that a husband and wife can secure the most economical policy by buying coverage with the same company and taking advantage of the marital discounts offered. He informed me that being a type 1 diabetic, getting approved for LTC insurance could be challenging. Abe secured a great policy for my wife immediately but would not submit any applications for me until he was confident that the insurance carriers would consider my health history. He told me that once you are rejected for LTC insurance, it would be extremely difficult to get a policy, and therefore wanted to be reasonably certain that the insurance company would approve my application. Approximately a year later, he successfully obtained an excellent policy for me. We were so pleased with Abe’s knowledge and abilities that I asked him if he could obtain LTC insurance for my mother, who was in her early 80’s at the time. Naturally, he managed to do this with great skill and was able to obtain insurance for my sister as well.
